Sisters of Synergy was founded in 2015 from a belief that people deserve more than temporary solutions. Our work is rooted in helping people build the skills, stability, relationships and opportunities that make long-term progress possible.

We are a Black woman-founded, African American-led organization with a mission to promote self-sufficiency while creating economic development in the community. Our vision is to help create generational wealth and stability now and for communities to come.

Our Approach

We understand that economic stability is shaped by many parts of life. Housing, employment, financial knowledge, education, business ownership, community relationships and access to resources all matter.

That is why our work crosses traditional program lines. We create and connect opportunities that help participants reduce barriers, strengthen skills, build income, explore ownership and become active participants in their own long-term success.

From Program Participation to Long-term Impact

Our goal is not simply to count attendance. We want to see what people are able to build from the opportunity.

Our history includes entrepreneurship support that helped individuals move from business readiness into operating businesses. It also includes youth workforce support that helped a participant secure employment and continue working and advancing for more than 12 years. These are the kinds of outcomes that reflect the deeper purpose of our mission: helping opportunity become stability and helping stability become something that can last.

How We Work

Sisters of Synergy collaborates with funders, employers, training providers, businesses, community organizations, property partners, volunteers and service providers. Each relationship helps connect participants and communities to resources, experience, knowledge or opportunity.

Our Vision for the Future

We want communities where people have more than access to services. We want people to have pathways to employment, ownership, entrepreneurship, leadership, financial stability and the ability to create opportunities for the next generation.
