Sustainable Homes

A Sisters of Synergy Green Partners Program

Sustainable Homes helps adults participating in housing programs learn practical ways to create healthier, more environmentally responsible homes and communities. The program connects everyday household choices to environmental awareness, resource conservation and positive community action.

Small Choices Can Create Lasting Change

Sustainability does not have to feel complicated. Participants learn practical ways to reduce waste, conserve resources and make choices that support healthier homes and neighborhoods.

  • Program activities may include:

  • Reducing household waste

  • Recycling education

  • Saving energy and water

  • Creating a healthier home environment

  • Environmentally responsible household choices

  • Environmental pledges or action commitments

  • Community clean-up and engagement activities

Who Can Participate

To qualify for the current Sustainable Homes program, participants must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older, and

  • Be an active housing client or currently participating in a housing program. Sisters of Synergy reviews interest forms and contacts applicants regarding eligibility and upcoming activities.
