Community Economic Restoration & Workforce Pathways Hub

A Sisters of Synergy CanRenew Initiative

The Community Economic Restoration & Workforce Pathways Hub is designed to help eligible participants strengthen their skills, address barriers and move toward employment, career advancement or entrepreneurship. The program combines practical workforce preparation with individualized support because getting a job is only one part of creating long-term economic stability.

What Participants Can Expect

Depending on the participant's pathway and approved program activities, support may include:

  • Orientation and individualized intake

  • Work-readiness training

  • Soft-skill and workplace-development activities

  • Financial education

  • Barrier-reduction planning and referrals

  • Career exploration and employment preparation

  • Approved work-based learning or internship experiences

  • Job-placement support

  • Business-development and entrepreneurship guidance

  • Ongoing case-management and progress support

Two Pathways. One Goal.

Employment & Career Pathway

Participants interested in employment can build work-readiness skills, explore career options, strengthen workplace habits, participate in approved work-based learning and receive support moving toward employment.

Business Development & Entrepreneurship Pathway

Participants interested in entrepreneurship can explore business development, strengthen planning skills, work through business milestones and build a stronger foundation for launching or developing a business.

Participation Support

Approved program stipends may be available for successful participation in designated program activities. Stipends are participation and training support and are not represented as hourly wages unless a participant has a separate employment arrangement.

Who Should Apply?

The program is designed for eligible participants within the approved CanRenew program framework and service area, with a focus on African American communities and people impacted by barriers to economic opportunity. Final eligibility is determined through Sisters of Synergy screening and current grant requirements.

Submitting an interest form does not guarantee enrollment, stipend payments, employment, internship placement, training placement, business funding or other program benefits.
